I am on F1 visa, If I get married to Green Card Holder, should I be in my own status utill I get GC? Do I get work permit ? how long does it take ? When will I get my GC? Could you please help me. I appreciate your suggestions.

I think you have to be in your own status till your adjustments You can get tax ID(if youcan not get a SS no.) I am not sure about work permit. And about your GC, oh..man.. if the processing speed goes as this time, it may take 4-5 years......( better ask a lawyer :)
