i think the procedure is same through out usa.. mine it took a year and half to get it.. im from washington state...

SKT1212 - How come it took that long for you? It took only 4 months (120 days) in my case. I am from Virginia too and I got it recently.

@ wonton....i dont think you need to hire a lawyer...i didnt!!! Just fill out N-400 application for naturalization.... you find online... and after filling it they will ask you for finger prints then 3-4 months for an interview :)
