Hey guys,

                 I am on F1 visa and I am marying a US citizen this month. I have been working outside the college since last 3 years using my social security which I obtained from college. I have regularly filed my tax returns as well, and planning to do so this year as well. Now, while applying for green card after marriage will there be any problem since I am working outside my college. Do I need to mention to my lawyer or in the form I need to fill up for the paperwork that I am working. Will they ever find out if I didn't mention anything? If anyone has dealt with this problem before please share your experience.

when you are marrying an american citizen lots of things will go amnesty. working illegally will not even be talked about in the interview. All they will be looking after will be if the marriage is fake or real and last thing if you were ever been convicted of any felony. Even you had felony, they will still work with you because you got married to an american citizen. Overstay, illegal, your work status are non of the things they will go into. So good luck to you and try to make the marriage as real as it can be.

And I have never heard of any one married to us citizen not get a gc too evevn if the girl is like 15 years older than. They may ask u to bring additional supporting dOcs but u will get one eventually. Thoki halabro

If the marriage is real and the girl is in love with you, you are protected by all means.  If you are doing it for obvious reasons, then the danger lies ahead by all means (at least until you become a citizen or you are caught).
