hi,

i dont think that you have to study again.. If its 4 year degree, i think you are good....In order to get your licence for practice, you have to evaluate your degree from Educational evaluation agencies.. there are few such agneices ie wes, etc just google it.. you will find few....

they will evaluate your degree and send you the US degree equivalent degree.. with that degree  you can apply for your licence..

if you have Green Card, then i think you should do it that way... i dont know your status..

thanks texasketa. for your valuable suggestion. but i have heard that even if you have greencard u will have to study pharm d here again. you can apply for licence if you are graduate before 2002. after that they have changed the policy and we have study here only to get licence.yes i have 4years degree. thats why i want to chage the field and i want to in that field which have scope .

Just hearing from friends wont do..

you speak to the licenceing agency and they will help you too.. what is the real thing....

in the mean time.. if you are planning for studying for your master. then it is ok very good option.. you can continue your study and apply for your licence...

but you have to give GRE .. hope you have it.. if not then i would recommend you as to study for it and prepare very well. try to get at leat 1250 score in GRE.. with that score. it will be easy to get admission to good universities....

just try to network with your other pharmay friends from   Nepal who are working here ie your seniors...try to network.. .. its the key here....

All the relavant information are available here:

http://www.nabp.net/programs/examination/fpgec/

"So, if you graduated on or after January 1, 2003, you must have completed at least a five-year pharmacy curriculum from overseas. For example, a five-year BSc in pharmacy, a five-year BPharm, or a five or six-year PharmD."

I hope that link helps......
