 Planning to Travel to Nepal for Dashain - anyone recently travelled during COVID

Hi Gurus,

I am thinking to travel to Nepal for Dashain. I know this is not the best time, but wanted to hear from someone that recently travel or looking to travel. First of all i am US Citizen and i heard they are not issuing arrival visa at the airport, and when i check with Nepal Embassy in DC they said they will need a valid proof of urgency to issue a visa. Is that true or it is different when you are at Nepal ? anyone has experience or know someone that has one please share. Secondly what is the Quarantine procedure, can i quarantine at home if you have negative test results ?

Appreciate your inputs!!

I cancelled my plan to travel to Nepal for 2020. I was thinking of visiting back home for Dashain & Tihar but with all the uncertainty around the world, I realized it will be more hectic and mental strain not knowing what's gonna happen next. I am postponing all my travel till 2021.
