I am a Nepali citizen living in USA. I filed an I-140 application (based on EB2) around 14 months ago. I have also filed an I-I485 application based on EB2 around 5-months ago. With I-485, I filed I-765 and I-131 applications too. All these applications (I-140, I-485...) are in pending at this moment.

I am also randomly selected as an EDV 2022 winner and my DV case number most probably will be current in July based on the visa bulletin. I had submitted DS 260 form as an EDV winner. Department of State (DOS) has sent me back a letter saying to apply for adjustment of status once my case number becomes current. Can I submit an additional I-485 application based on EDV? Or is there a chance that USCIS uses my previous I-485 application for the DV program? It looks like the DV process will be quick (must be completed by September 30 of each year) compared to the EB2 application and that is motivating me to submit another I485 form based on DV ( Also, want to be safe even if my EB2 application is denied for any reason).

Each i485 will be separately processed with no connection. Your pending i485 cannot be linked to DV. File AOS package based on DV.
